In 1976, A laboratory was using some very, very unstable and powerful chemicals. Hayes-Haggerty (was Haggerty-Hayes at time of incident) was driving his bus along 11 Mile Road at that time. The laboratory people spilled the chemicals and had created a powerful explosion that destroyed the ENTIRE city of Spring Arbor. It was not until the spiritual times (1976-1979) that Haggerty was gifted with energy based powers. He was reincarnated in the new Spring Arbor. However, his name was Hayes-Haggerty instead of Haggerty-Hayes. And then, he moved to Somerset Lake, MI. But the question was, why did he move there? Nothing happens there. Oh well.
Haggerty is gifted with using powerful energies, from within and without. He can also absorb energies inside of himself. He also releases energies for different reasons, for healing, or for battle, using his infamous energy beams. But one thing about this. He cannot absorb too much dark energy or it will turn Hayes evil for a period of 11 minutes. Second, he is not to strong on physical areas because he is pretty small. Also, if he charges up too much power (especially after absorbing it), he can end up releasing beams that might be too powerful..and might end up destroying something that he doesn't want to. And that can leave him guilt ridden and depressed, which is another weakness of Haggerty.
